Building Management Systems (BMS) Technician

Job description:
- Actively participate in BMS projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery within budget and scope.
- Install, program and troubleshoot BMS-related hardware and software components based on predefined points lists, wiring diagrams and customer requirements
- Commissioning and testing BMS software and devices, on-site and remotely
- Periodic Preventive maintenance troubleshooting of BMS installations
- Design, assemble and test control panels, ensuring they are correctly wired, operational, and compliant with safety standards.
- Integrate BMS and REMS with IT infrastructure by configuring network settings and Industry-standard communication protocols like BACnet/IP and Modbus TCP/IP.
What do you need to succeed in this role:
- Higher Diploma (MQF level 5) in Industrial Automation, Electronics, Controls or equivalent
- Three years of work experience in a similar field;
- Familiarity with various BMS platforms (e.g., Honeywell, Siemens, Johnson Controls, Distech) and protocols like BACnet, Modbus and DALI.
- Good ICT skills, being comfortable working with applications such as MS Office and others
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and wiring diagrams for control panels.
- Have good written and verbal skills in English. Fluency in Maltese is considered a plus.
- Hold a valid local driving licence
- Post may require on-call duties and out-of-office hours support.
