Consultant / Specialist Psychiatrist - Forensic Psychiatric (Dinamarca)

What You’ll Do:

As a consultant, you will balance clinical work and leadership responsibilities:

  • Provide outpatient care for forensic psychiatric patients with complex treatment pathways.
  • Co-manage the outpatient clinic alongside an experienced head nurse.
  • Collaborate with senior consultants across regional forensic psychiatry to optimise treatment before discharge and to strategize future hospitalisations.
  • Participate in cross-disciplinary initiatives with general psychiatry teams throughout the region to create cohesive care pathways for patients.

Professional and personal qualifications:

We are seeking candidates with:

  • Forensic psychiatric expertise, including experience in the Security Department or forensic psychiatric wards, is an advantage but not required.
  • Interest in interdisciplinary collaboration, both internally and with external partners.
  • A medical specialist recognition in Psychiatry, preferably from an EU country due to the Danish authorisation process.
