Position description
- The purpose of the post is to support the UNICC Cloud (open-source stack) manager in the implementation and on-going support of UNICC Cloud OpenStack.
- The Core Infrastructure Engineer will act as the main technical focal point for the OpenStack ecosystem of services, providing expert support and advice.

Main duties and responsibilities
- The incumbent will work under the direct supervision and guidance of the UNICC Private Cloud (open source stack) manager within the Cyber Security Division (CS).
- The incumbent could be requested to do any other tasks of similar level in related fields.
Experience and skills required
Essential:
- Minimum five years of relevant IT experience, with a focus on Open Source Technologies
- Proven experience in supporting the architecture and deployment of highly complex on-premises infrastructures
- Hands-on knowledge of Public Cloud IaaS & PaaS services
- Strong knowledge of general-purpose programming languages like Python, Bash, etc.
- Strong knowledge of container technologies including orchestration tools such as Kubernetes or Docker
- Hands-on experience on continuous integration and continuous delivery/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, or a related field
- Certification in Public Cloud Services
- Certification in Linux (e.g. LPIC, RHCE)
- English: expert knowledge is required
Desirable:
- Proven record of demonstrating initiative to improve existing processes
- Certification in OpenStack
- Certification in Kubernetes
- Spanish: beginner knowledge
Compensation:
- Salary: USD 81,248 (net, single rate, including post adjustment/year)
- Contract: Staff (P3)
- Hours a day: 7,5
