ENTOMOLOGY SCIENTIST FOR THE ENTOMOLOGY R&D DEPARTMENT

RESPONSABILITIES:
- Carry out research lines related to industrialization of insect rearings, coordinated by the Head of Entomology
- Participate in the elaboration of the R&D plan and decision making for the continuous improvement of productive processes
- Perform QCs and IPCs characteristic to insect productions
- Provide support to the Entomology Production Department when required
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Biology
- Master’ Degree and/or PhD in Entomology or Zoology
- Minimum 1 year of experience in industrial production of insects and/or R&D applied to improvement of industrial production of insects
- Great knowledge in experimental design, data analysis and interpretation
- Knowledge in one or several of the following fields will be highly valued:
- Insect nutrition
- Insect microbiome
- Insect physiology and ecology
- O scaling-up and automation of insect rearings
SKILLS:
- Highly meticulous
- Good team working skills
- Good communications skills, reporting to the team
- High problem-solving capacity and ability to adapt
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Permanent position
- 40 h per week
- Salary: euros30,000 - euros35,000 per annum
