Healthcare Assistants to work with Irish Nursing Homes throughout Ireland
Job description:
- The management and staff at Nursing Home aim to provide an environment which is home from home for all our Residents.
- The role of the Care Assistant is to support nursing staff and care team in the delivery of care to the residents of the Nursing Home.
General Responsibilities:
- Supporting the nursing staff in providing high-quality holistic care to our residents.
- Ensuring residents hygiene/personal care needs are maintained to the highest standards while maintaining the resident’s dignity at all times.
- Support residents during meal times. Assist residents as required with meals under the supervision of nursing staff.
- Assist and encourage residents with mobility.
- Assist with activities when required.
- Perform any other appropriate duties as designated by the CNM’s Care manager and Nursing Staff.
Applicant Requirements:
- Education:
- Ideally Healthcare qualified (Care Skills and Care of the Elderly).
- Applicants currently studying towards this qualification will also be considered.
- Some companies will hire people without any healthcare qualifications and provide them with all the necessary training for the role.
- Experience in care of the elderly would be highly desirable but not essential.
- English level: intermediate
- Applicants must be entitled of the Free Movement Right regarding to employment in the European Union.
Working conditions:
- Permanent contract
- Fulltime position
- Salary: from euros13.5 to euros18.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
