Your tasks:
- Manage movements of goods within the EU and import/export operations with third-party countries
- Manage special customs arrangements (exemptions from duty, temporary imports and exports, etc.)
- Organise the transport of conventional and dangerous goods
- Select transport companies based on the specific nature of the items to be transported
- Prepare monthly Intrastat reports on the exchange of goods and services (DEB and DES declarations)
- Manage disputes
- Handle transport documents and verify shipment invoices
Your profile:
- Level 4/5 qualification (HND, NVQ or equivalent professional qualification) in transport and logistics or international commerce with at least three years’ experience in the shipping and customs sector.
- Thorough understanding of French and EU customs regulations, special customs arrangements and Incoterms.
- Familiarity with online customs procedures and training in IATA dangerous goods regulations would be an advantage.
- Good working knowledge of office software (Word, Excel)
- Excellent writing skills in French
- Good level of written and spoken English
- You are well organised and methodical, with a responsive attitude; you have excellent teamwork skills and also be capable of working independently
