Yours Tasks
- Maintain, troubleshoot, repair and configure cryogenic equipment.
- Support colleagues, visiting scientists in order to ensure the smooth running of the experimental programmes.
- Draft and maintain technical documentation and occasionally conduct internal training sessions
- Contribute to the development of new sample environments.
- Work with your team to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
Qualifications / Experience:
- You have a Level 4 or Level 5 qualification (HNC/HND, foundation degree or equivalent) in physical measurements, instrumentation or a similar field.
- You are passionate about scientific instrumentation and would like to learn how to develop and use complex measuring instruments.
- You have a basic knowledge of mechanical engineering and are keen to develop skills, for example, in TIG welding, brazing, industrial drawing, etc.
- Knowledge or experience in cryogenics and vacuum technology would be an advantage.
- You are an enthusiastic team player with good organisational skills and a service-oriented attitude.
- You are a good listener and have excellent interpersonal skills.
