Telecommunications and networks technician
Yours Tasks:
- Directing and carrying out low and high-voltage cabling work
- Installing and configuring equipment, in particular telephone and network equipment
- Configuring and maintaining the mobile phone fleet, telephony software solutions and physical access management solutions
- Monitoring maintenance of the telephony solution on the EPN campus
- Monitoring and supervising the work of outside service providers in all these areas.
Qualifications / Experience:
- You have a Level 2 vocational qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent), as well as at least 20 years’ experience in telephony and low-voltage networks (or equivalent).
- You have the necessary qualifications to work on low-voltage electrical installations (habilitation
- électrique BC/BR), certification for working at height and an aerial platform/cherry picker operator licence (CACES Group A and B or equivalent).
- You have a good knowledge of Alcatel, DECT and VoIP telephone systems, intercom systems and access control systems.
- Experience in mobile fleet management (GSM and satellite) would be appreciated.
- You must be proficient in low-voltage cabling work and be able to supervise such work.
- You can communicate orally in English in your area of expertise.
- Experience of working at an international research organisation would be appreciated.
