Tasks
•Directing and carrying out low and high-voltage cabling work
•Installing and configuring equipment, in particular telephone and network equipment
•Configuring and maintaining the mobile phone fleet, telephony software solutions and physical
access management solutions
•Monitoring maintenance of the telephony solution on the EPN campus
•Monitoring and supervising the work of outside service providers in all these areas.
Qualifications / Experience:
•Level 2 vocational qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent), as well as at least 20
years’ experience in telephony and low-voltage networks (or equivalent).
•Necessary qualifications to work on low-voltage electrical installations
•Knowledge of Alcatel, DECT and VoIP telephone systems, intercom systems and
access control systems.
•Experience in mobile fleet management (GSM and satellite) would be appreciated.
•Proficient in low-voltage cabling work and be able to supervise such work.
•Proactive, can work independently and have a service-oriented attitude.
•Communicate orally in English in your area of expertise.
•Experience of working at an international research organisation would be appreciated
